| "Schwarz" is a team of four assassins hired by Takatori to act as his personal bodyguards. They are the main antagonists to "Weiss" throughout the better part of the series. Although the final episode suggests that the members of Schwarz perished in the mansion's collapse, spin-off series and drama CDs which followed paint a very different ending. The leader and oldest of the group. Crawford is a precognitive, meaning that he can see parts of the immediate future. He often portrays himself as calm and eager to please his bosses, but in reality everything he does is merely for his own selfish benefit. He is the counterpart to Aya Fujimaya. A telepath, able to hear the thoughts of everyone around him. Although useful for gaining information, he is unable to control whose thoughts he is hearing, and therefore has a near constant cacophony of voices in his head, to the point he sometimes cannot tell which thoughts are his own anymore. He is the counterpart to Yoji Kudo. Although lacking any real "psychic" ability, Farfarello (real name Jei) is unable to feel physical pain, giving him a much higher level of endurance than the others. He has a deeply rooted hatred for religion and religious authority, most notably those tied to Catholicism. He carries a number of razors and knives on him at all times, and frequently indulges in self-mutilation. He is the counterpart to Ken Hidaka. The youngest of the group with very powerful telekinesis. As a child, he was feared and isolated for his power, and so grew up never knowing love or sympathy. He joined Schwarz to take revenge on the humanity which shunned him for being different, but eventually had a change of heart after falling for a girl named Tot. He is the counterpart to Omi Tsukiyono. |
